Surgery for your pet
Experienced doctors schooled in state-of-the-art practices means your pet is in good hands.
When most people consider surgery for their pet, they may think of a spay or neuter. Although these procedures are the most common, they are only a small sampling of our capability. With our investment in the latest and best technologies and our talented staff, our ability to diagnose and treat your pet is almost limitless.
Our team of skilled veterinarians are called upon to address the needs of our clients and their pets with surgical procedures that include:
- Elective Procedures
- Dental Surgery
- Ophthalmic surgery
- Orthopedic surgery
- Wound Repair
- Foreign body removal
- Tumor and growth removal
Following are just a few ways in which we go above and “beyond exPETations” in our surgical practice:
- We require blood work on all pets prior to surgery to ensure our Doctors have the right information to dose the appropriate type/amount of anesthesia in the surgical suite
- We use an IV catheter in each surgery to ensure your pet has enough fluids and to prevent dehydration
- A board certified cardiologist reads your pet's ECG prior to surgery
- We make daily use of the latest laser technology. This, in the surgical suite, has revolutionized both the surgical process as well as aftercare. Whether talking about an incision or declawing your cat with laser technology, there is far less pain, trauma, blood loss and risk of infection with this type of procedure
- Our dedicated, on-call Orthopedic surgeon regularly performs surgery at our facility and has extensive experience with soft tissue injuries
- All of our x-rays are reviewed by a Board-certified Radiologist in addition to your pet’s Dr. as an added precaution. Results are available in a matter of hours
- Our on-site Pharmacy allows you to pick up post-surgical medications immediately, helping you to avoid extra travel to the pharmacy
